The Valkyrie is the Galactic Federation’s latest heavy bomber, designed using the lessons learned from almost two centuries of combat losses to their own bombers and study of the Confederation’s designs.  Sleaker, faster, and employing the latest sensor masking and jamming tech the Galactic Federation has to offer, the Vampire is a ship killer in every regard.  Unlike the Feral, the Valkyrie purpose built with a single role in mind, deliver torpedoes or bombs on target.  To this end the weapon’s modules can be swapped out in the field depending on the intended target, or ejected in case of damage.  The slim profile also allows for its twin turrets to have a substantial free fire zone making it a hard craft to attack.

“The old B-115 was a death trap in every regard.  Who puts a single short range  turret on a damned bomber?!  I served on six of those old plasma sponges and only survived because the beast had thicker armor than a carrier.  Not that it mattered when the conts would happily shred your engines and send you barrelling off into the dark.  Flying alongside Mosquitoes, it was insulting to see how well protected they were, and I would have transferred over had the Valkyrie not come along.  What a beast this b**** is.  Not only can she dish it out, she can take it and bring you home alive in relatively one piece.  I was on my tenth mission before a cont got in a hit to my right torpedo pod.  The automatics ejected it right into that punk’s face where three nukes blew at once, goodbye cont!  Yeah she was a pain to fly home afterwards due to the asymmetric load, but I didn’t care.  I brought my crew home alive and that’s what matters.”  Lt Colonel Jim Shane 123rd Bomber Squadron.
